The Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command, led by the Area Commander, ACF Aminu Ahmadu, in collaboration with the Zaria Aviation Fire Station and the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Fire Service, featured on a live fire prevention programme broadcast on Queen FM 89.9 Zaria.
In a statements issued by ASF II Kamaluddeen Shehu, Public Relations Officer, Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command said this engagement formed part of ongoing efforts to broaden the reach of the 2025 National Fire Safety Week and strengthen operational synergy among firefighting agencies within the community.
The radio programme, marking Day Two of the 2025 National Fire Safety Week activities, targeted a wide audience across major economic hubs and surrounding communities.
It provided listeners with valuable insights from experienced fire safety professionals on essential preventive measures that, when applied correctly, significantly reduce the risk of fire outbreaks.
Key contributors from participating fire stations included Abdulrazak Abdul’aziz of the Aviation Fire Station, Ummara Umaru of the ABU Zaria Fire Station, and the Ward Head of Latin Tudun Wada, Malam Mustapha Sidi. Together, they addressed critical issues relating to fire safety professionalism, community involvement, and preventive practices.
In his closing remarks, ACF Aminu Ahmadu urged residents to keep and make effective use of fire emergency numbers to ensure swift response during emergencies.
