The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Zaria Area Command, has received a letter of appreciation from Alhaji Bello Yawale Dangoma Chairman Sheikh Ladan Sharehu Central Market, Zaria, following the recent fire outbreak in the market on 14th January, 2026
In a Press release issued by ASF II Kamaluddeen Shehu, Public Relations Officer of the Command said, the appreciation letter, signed by the Sectary of the market Alhaji Abdulmumini Shitu, commended the prompt response, professionalism, and dedication of the officers and men of the Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command, which significantly minimized losses and prevented the fire from spreading to other sections of the market.
According to the letter, the timely intervention of the fire fighters saved numerous shops and valuable goods, bringing relief to traders and the entire market community during a moment of distress.
In response, the Zaria Area Commander ACF Aminu Ahmadu expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
He emphasized that the Federal Fire Service remains resolute in responding swiftly to emergencies and strengthening collaboration with communities to enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness.
The gesture underscores the importance of synergy between emergency responders and the public in mitigating the impact of fire disasters and promoting a safer society.
