The Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria (CNYAN) commends the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), local security outfits, and all other security agencies involved in the successful rescue of the students and teachers of the Oriire Centre for Vocational Training who were kidnapped in Oyo State.

In a Press statement issued by Hon. Abdulrazaq Mohammed President,  Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria (CNYAN) said, this successful operation demonstrates the importance of coordinated intelligence, inter-agency collaboration, and the unwavering commitment of our security personnel to protecting the lives of Nigerians.

The Council congratulates all those whose dedication and professionalism made the rescue possible and express our heartfelt joy that the victims have regained their freedom.

They equally sympathize with the victims and their families for the emotional and psychological trauma they endured during the unfortunate incident.

While praying for their speedy recovery and reintegration into their daily lives.

"As we celebrate this success, CNYAN emphasizes that the increasing cases of kidnapping, banditry, terrorism, and other violent crimes across different parts of the country remain a major concern.

The rescue of these victims should strengthen our collective resolve to eliminate criminal networks that continue to threaten the safety of citizens.

CNYAN therefore called on the Federal Government to sustain and intensify ongoing security operations across the nation by improving intelligence gathering, strengthening community policing initiatives, deploying modern surveillance technology, and providing adequate welfare, equipment, and logistics for security personnel.

We also urge state governments, traditional rulers, community leaders, religious institutions, and citizens to continue working closely with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can prevent criminal activities before they occur.

Also CNYAN appeals for enhanced security around schools, educational institutions, and other vulnerable public facilities to ensure that students and teachers can pursue education without fear. Every Nigerian child deserves to learn in a safe and secure environment.

As a youth advocacy organization committed to national unity, peace, and development, the Council of Northern Youth Advocate of Nigeria (CNYAN) reaffirms its support for all genuine efforts aimed at combating insecurity and preserving the sanctity of human life.

The Council remain optimistic that with sustained commitment, stronger collaboration, and proactive security strategies, Nigeria can overcome the current security challenges and build a safer nation for all.
