The Sarkin Ayyukan Zazzau, Alhaji Abbas Muhammad Fagaci, has called on traditional rulers in Northern Nigeria to embark on meaningful legacy projects that will benefit society and ensure they are remembered even after their reign.
He made the call in an interview with Daily Naija Updates in Zaria, stressing the importance of initiating developmental projects that would outlive leaders and continue to serve the people.
According to him, embarking on such projects is not only of religious significance but also a means of improving social and community life.
Alhaji Fagaci described the honour to be conferred to the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, as a well-deserved recognition of his contributions, particularly in promoting Islamic education and community development.
He emphasized that the Emir of Zazzau stands among leaders who have upheld the legacy of the Sokoto Caliphate by fostering initiatives that impact lives positively.
The Sarkin Ayyuka further urged the people of Zazzau Emirate to continue supporting the Emir in sustaining developmental projects that trace their roots back to the teachings of Shehu Usman Ɗan Fodiyo.
He also appealed to Islamic scholars across the region to put aside religious differences and work together in unity for the progress of the community.
Alhaji Fagaci concluded with prayers for lasting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development in Zazzau Emirate, Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole.
