Kaduna Lawmaker, Mahmud Lawal Ismaila, Felicitates With Nigerians at 65th Independence Anniversary

As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the Member representing Zaria City Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Mahmud Lawal Ismaila (Bola Ige), has congratulated Nigerians on the historic occasion.

Ismaila, who also serves as Chairman, House Committee on Education and Deputy Chief Whip of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, described the day as a moment of gratitude and reflection.

He noted that despite the challenges confronting the nation, Nigerians have reasons to thank God Almighty for sustaining the country’s unity and progress since independence.

“Independence anniversary gives us yet another opportunity to thank God Almighty for preserving us despite the challenges,” Ismaila said. “This is a time to set aside the narrative of division, violence and hate, and replace them with the narrative of peace, love and unity. It is also a moment to reflect on how we can all contribute to strengthening our dear country.”

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to promoting education and good governance in Kaduna State, while urging citizens to continue to uphold values of patriotism, tolerance, and resilience.

He concluded with a call for renewed hope in the country’s future:
