The National Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS) has appointed AGRA Program Officer Nigeria Dr. Esther Ibrahim as its National Grand Matron.
The presentation took place at the National Agricultural Extension Research and Liason Services (NAERLS) Board room.
Speaking at the presentation of appointment to Dr. Esther Ibrahim the National President of the association Comrade Abdulazeez Bashar said, the honour by the association is in recognitions of her contributions to the growth of Agriculture in Nigeria
He also said, she is a mother, a mentor and advocate for students and farmers particularly the women and youths in agriculture.
The President said, the entire Agricultural students in Nigeria were proud of Dr. Esther Ibrahim for her simplicity and accommodating heart whenever you approach her on any issue regarding agriculture.
In her remarks, the AGRA Program Officer, Dr. Esther Ibrahim said, she consider the honour done to her by the NAAS as an energizer .
She advised the students as youths they should avoid any act of violence and be as agent of peace and unity.
Dr. Ibrahim also warned them to focus an their studies and their future for the nation to benefit from them in terms of Food System Transformation.
She said, youths are innovators and they should be coming up with new technologies to support growth of the agriculture sector.
According to her, she said her colleagues are aware of this honour by the National Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS) and will solicit their support for success.
