Gov Sani applauded for salary increase to health workers, upgrade of hospitals

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has been applauded for increasing health workers salary and upgrading hospitals across the state.

Prof Bello Jamoh, Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board made the commendation at a stakeholders meeting in kaduna.

He noted that the Governor has revamped the healthcare sector in the state by renovating a great number of hospitals, provision of modern and state-of-art medical equipment, and improving health workers’ salary that improved their welfare.

The Executive Secretary also highlighted the governor’s commitment to modernizing healthcare facilities and enhancing the well-being of health workers in an effort to provide access to health care improve the quality of service to residents of the state.

Prof Jamoh noted that the recent increase in health workers’ salaries would obviously strengthen the health sector, boost staff morale, and encourage dedication toward preventing child-killer diseases.

He recommended the ongoing supply of essential drugs to various clinics and hospitals, stressing that it will  significantly improve healthcare service delivery in the state.

Jamoh further praised the State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) for registering citizens into the state’s healthcare scheme and empowering women to adopt preventive measures against child-killer diseases.

He therefore urged health workers to be committed to their duties by being punctual and dedicated towards providing quality service.

The Executive Secretary also encouraged citizens to take advantage of the numerous primary healthcare centers closer to them to access health care for prompt medical attention.

He reiterated the untiring commitment of his board to ensuring quality and accessible health care provision across the state.
