The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Zaria Area Command, responded swiftly to a fire outbreak on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at about 09:00hrs at Ujudud Nigeria Ltd (Filling station), New Jos road, Mangu junction, Dakace Zaria , Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State
In a Press release issued by ASF II Kamaluddeen Shehu, Public Relations Officer of the Command said, the fire, which was caused as result of Static Elecric Discharge, affected Mini pickup van while uploading patrol from 2 cage of PVC tanks of about 700 liters into the underground storage tank leading to Static energy discharge, covering an Area of about 100/100 Fts use for commercial purpose.
Upon receiving a distress call from Mr. MD Ibrahim, firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene under the leadership of DSF Hasheem Sa'eed.
The Kaduna State Fire Service kofan Doka also responded, while the FFS 195 Crew provided backup support. A thorough inspection was subsequently carried out to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and the area secured.
Thanks to the prompt and coordinated response of the firefighting teams, the fire was successfully contained, preventing further spread and minimizing damage. No casualties or loss of life were recorded
