Saddiq Ango Abdullahi, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Sabon Gari constituency.

He explained that FERMA’s role in the project is as a supervising authority (client), ensuring that all engineering standards and project regulations are strictly followed as stipulated in the contract agreement.

Engineer Kabiru said the project covers road and drainage construction from Basawa to Dogon Ice, spanning approximately 2.7 kilometers, and according to the contract, the project is scheduled to be completed within six months.

He emphasized that FERMA will continuously monitor the project to ensure quality execution and timely completion, stressing that ultimately the people of Sabon Gari Local Government, Zaria will benefit and appreciate the quality of the work.

The Engineer added that all road projects require community cooperation, as construction may cause temporary traffic delays.

He therefore called on the public to exercise patience and follow all traffic instructions, particularly warning signs such as “Stop” and “Do Not Pass.”

He also urged the community to take care of government property, highlighting issues of equipment damage and theft of metals and materials.

He reminded citizens that the project is for public benefit, and everyone should treat government property as their own to ensure it serves the community.
