The lawmaker made this known while delivering a speech at the closing ceremony of the Annual Spelling Bee Competition for secondary schools in Zone 1, held at Dr. M. I. Maccido Hall, Federal University of Education, Zaria.
Hon. Liman described the spelling bee as a timely and strategic initiative that aligns with the vision of the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Governor Senator Uba Sani, which places education as a top priority.

According to him, the Kaduna State House of Assembly remains fully aligned with this vision and is committed to providing the necessary legislative support, oversight and enabling framework to ensure that resources devoted to education are efficiently utilized for measurable outcomes that directly benefit students and the future of the state.
The lawmaker commended the sponsor of the competition, Barrister Aisha Ahmed Mohammed Zinaria, for her foresight and patriotism in investing in the education of young people.
He described the initiative as a clear demonstration of how private individuals can complement government efforts in driving literacy, confidence, intellectual competitiveness and critical thinking among students.
Hon. Liman expressed satisfaction with the level of brilliance, discipline and confidence displayed by the participating students, describing them as future leaders, innovators and policymakers of Kaduna State and Nigeria.
He urged the students to remain committed to excellence, assuring them of the government’s continued investment in their education and future.
He also applauded the organizers, school administrators, teachers and parents for their collective efforts toward the success of the programme, stressing that community participation remains vital to governance and development.
The lawmaker called on stakeholders to sustain and expand the spelling bee initiative across all zones of Kaduna State, with the hope that it would grow into a platform that promotes academic excellence and unity.
The annual spelling bee brought together secondary school students from Zone 1 and formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the educational foundation of the state.
