Hon. Umar Uba Mai Citta addressed supporters and ward leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from all 11 wards of the local government during a political gathering held at Yan Awaki, Sabon Gari, Zaria.
He emphasized the importance of youth empowerment, women’s education, and active political participation.
The monthly event, a tradition among Hon. Uba’s supporters, provides an opportunity for attendees to meet, socialize, and discuss political and community matters within Sabon Gari Local Government, particularly under the APC.
Hon. Uba highlighted the value of experience and expertise in contributing to the development of the community. He stressed that his initiatives focus on:
Supporting the education of children, with special attention to women’s education, recognizing that educated women play a key role in society, particularly in healthcare and social welfare.
Promoting small-scale businesses for women, which strengthens households and encourages local economic growth.
Empowering youth, who are tomorrow’s leaders, through skills acquisition, vocational training, and agricultural development, ensuring they build productive and sustainable futures.
He noted that these initiatives align with the policies of Kaduna State Government under Governor Senator Uba Sani, whose agenda prioritizes youth development, education, and community empowerment.
Hon. Uba also urged the people of Sabon Gari to actively participate in the political process, register and update their membership with the APC, and support their representatives at the National Assembly, ensuring that the community contributes effectively to governance and development.
The gathering at Yan Awaki concluded in an atmosphere of unity, celebration, and renewed commitment to uplifting youth, empowering women, and fostering the growth of Sabon Gari Local Government.
