Taskira Newspaper has honoured Engineer Ahmad Aminu Vertical, the ADC candidate for the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Sabon Gari Constituency, in recognition of his contributions to community development and humanitarian activities.
The award ceremony was held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Youth Centre in Tudun Wada, Zaria, and was attended by family members, friends, associates and supporters of the candidate from across Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Engineer Ahmad Aminu Vertical expressed his appreciation to Taskira Newspaper for the recognition and wished the organisation continued success.
He described the honour as neither a result of cleverness nor strategy, but rather a blessing and divine favour from God, noting that it was based on the good works witnessed and acknowledged by the people.
According to him, he was not aware that he would receive the award, stressing that it was God's will and a reflection of the various efforts he and his team have made in improving the lives of the people of Sabon Gari.
He pledged to continue supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people and prayed for God's guidance and strength to sustain his humanitarian activities.
Engineer Ahmad Aminu Vertical said his team places high priority on education and youth development, adding that they have continued to invest in programmes that will secure a better future for young people.
He stated that they have also made significant contributions toward empowering youths and promoting unity and collective progress within the community.
On skills acquisition, he disclosed that many young people have been trained in modern vocational skills, particularly in the areas of electrical installation and energy-related technologies, adding that efforts are ongoing to expand such programmes for sustainable development.
He further stated that if elected into the Kaduna State House of Assembly to represent Sabon Gari Constituency, his team has well-articulated plans that would bring meaningful development and improve the lives of the people.
Engineer Ahmad Aminu Vertical prayed for divine guidance and success in achieving the goals they have set for the benefit of the constituency.
He also expressed gratitude to the people of Sabon Gari Local Government Area, including men, women and youths, for their support and prayers.
