Taskira Newspaper has honoured Barrister Aisha Iyal Waziri, the Registrar of Upper Sharia Court III, Tudun Wada, Zaria, in recognition of her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving the community through her judicial responsibilities.
The award was presented on Sunday, June 21, 2026, as part of the newspaper's effort to recognize outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields through hard work, integrity, and selfless service to society.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Barrister Aisha Iyal Waziri expressed her joy and gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting her the opportunity to witness such a memorable occasion. She also thanked Taskira Newspaper for finding her worthy of the honour.
According to her, recognition based on merit serves as an encouragement for workers to remain committed to their duties and to carry out their responsibilities with honesty, trustworthiness, and the fear of God.
She noted that she and her colleagues are making efforts to promote professionalism and transparency in their workplace, adding that they continue to do their best in ensuring that justice is administered efficiently and fairly.
Barrister Aisha further explained that she regularly advises junior staff and colleagues to be patient, attentive to details, and committed to learning the practical aspects of court administration. She observed that many workers spend years in service without fully understanding some of the fundamental procedures of their responsibilities due to a lack of attention to seemingly minor but important aspects of the job.
She emphasized that her greatest desire is to see public servants remain dedicated to their duties and committed to upholding truth and justice in their work.
"The fear of God is the first step, while dedication and hard work are essential qualities for every worker," she said, describing this as her key message to public servants and professionals alike.
