Hon. Mahmood Sani Sha’aban has commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, Iyan Zazzau, for his outstanding contributions to education, democracy, and community empowerment in Zaria and across Kaduna State.
Speaking during an event in Zaria, Hon. Mahmood Sani Sha’aban, fondly known as Dan Buram Zazzau and Barden Keffi, described Speaker Abbas as a patriotic Nigerian whose vision and commitment have left a lasting impact on the ancient city.
According to Sha’aban, Speaker Tajudeen has demonstrated rare leadership by investing heavily in the growth of educational institutions and restoring Zaria’s historic status as a premier centre of learning.
He noted that several institutions previously abandoned or forgotten have been renovated through the Speaker’s initiatives, making them functional and beneficial to thousands of students.
“There are institutions in Zaria today that owe their revival and progress to his dedication,” Mahmood Sha’aban said. “He has supported schools that were in existence but neglected, and he has facilitated the establishment of entirely new academic institutions. These efforts are evident not only in Zaria and Kaduna State, but across the northern region.”
Sha’aban also praised the Speaker’s role in empowering communities, promoting democratic values, and improving the lives of ordinary citizens through various development projects.
He urged the people of Zaria to continue acknowledging and supporting individuals who work tirelessly for their progress.
“The people of Zaria owe it to themselves to continue recognizing such an individual,” Mahmood said. “He has done it, he is doing it, and we believe he can achieve even more. Leaders like him deserve our appreciation and continued support.”
The traditional title holder emphasized that Speaker Abbas remains a credible and proud son of Zazzau whose service and achievements have strengthened the socio-economic foundations of the constituency.
“We congratulate him, and we pray that God gives him more strength and wisdom to continue the excellent work he is doing for our people,” he added.
