The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has praised Governor Uba Sani for presenting a visionary and inclusive 2026 budget, describing it as a historic step toward consolidating rural transformation and enhancing development across the state.
Speaking during the formal presentation of the 2026 Budget of Consolidating Rural Transformation for Inclusive Development, the Speaker said the proposal reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous, and more equitable Kaduna State.
Rt. Hon. Liman noted that the budget places strong emphasis on expanding rural infrastructure, strengthening human capital development, and ensuring that no community—urban or rural—is left behind. He commended Governor Uba Sani for fostering unity, stability, and renewed hope across the state.
“The Uba Sani–led administration continues to shape a Kaduna State defined not only by measurable progress, but by shared purpose, unity and collective ownership of our development agenda,” the Speaker said.
In what he described as an unprecedented milestone, the Speaker announced that this is the first time in Kaduna State’s history that all Honourable Members have been granted the opportunity to directly execute constituency projects.
He expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for the gesture and appealed for it to remain a sustained policy, describing it as a major boost to grassroots development.
The Speaker also appreciated the Governor for respecting the autonomy of the legislature, noting that the Executive has allowed the House to operate without interference—thereby strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing effective governance.
Rt. Hon. Liman highlighted the Governor’s achievements in reviving abandoned projects and initiating new ones that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens. He stressed that the administration’s focus on rural communities, in addition to ongoing urban improvements, has positioned Kaduna State on a solid path of sustained progress.
“Your vision is clear, your objectives are focused, and as a state, we are firmly on the path of sustained progress,” he affirmed.
The Speaker assured the public that the Kaduna State House of Assembly will meticulously review the budget to ensure that it serves the collective interests of the people.
He pledged continued cooperation with the Executive to accelerate inclusive development, expand infrastructure, and enhance service delivery in 2026.
He further thanked Honourable Members for their unity and consistent support for the leadership of the House, which he said has enabled the Assembly to record significant achievements within a short period.
Rt. Hon. Liman reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to good governance and called for sustained partnership between all arms of government to advance the development of Kaduna State.
