Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sabon Gari Local Government have unanimously endorsed consensus candidates ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries.
The decision was reached at a crucial meeting presided over by the Executive Chairman, Sheikh Jamilu Abubakar Albani, which brought together party leaders, elders, political office holders, youth and women representatives, as well as ward stakeholders from across the local government.
In a press statement issued by Aminu Abu Zayd, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Office of the Executive Chairman, Sabon Gari Local Government, said the stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to unity, stability, and the continued progress of the party at all levels, noting that the endorsement was a collective and strategic decision aimed at strengthening internal cohesion within the APC structure.
The endorsed candidates include Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President, Uba Sani for Governor, Muktar Ramalan Yero for Senate, Sadiq Ango Abdullahi for the House of Representatives, Nasiru Idris for Kaduna State House of Assembly, Sabon Gari Constituency, and Sani Dahiru Basawa for Kaduna State House of Assembly, Basawa Constituency.
According to the stakeholders, the endorsement reflects their confidence in the capacity, credibility, and commitment of the candidates to provide effective representation and deliver meaningful development to the people.
They described the move as a decisive step towards ensuring continuity in leadership and strengthening the party’s chances in both the primaries and the general elections.
The meeting concluded with a firm resolution that this position represents the official and final stand of APC stakeholders in Sabon Gari Local Government in the interest of peace, unity, progress, and the overall success of the party, while pledging full mobilization of support for all endorsed candidates throughout the electoral process.
