The Chairman of the Al-Ihsan Charity and Orphan Foundation Kaduna, Dr. Adamu Abdullahi, has credited his late father, Alhaji Abdullahi, with inspiring his lifelong commitment to humanitarian service, particularly in supporting orphans and other vulnerable members of society.
Dr. Adamu made this known while speaking with journalists in Zaria after a meeting aimed at promoting unity among Northern Nigerian youths.
He said the values of compassion, generosity, and selfless service were deeply rooted in him through the example set by his father, who devoted much of his life to assisting people in need.
"My passion for helping the less privileged came from my late father.
While growing up, we watched him extend support to people from within and outside our community.
Whenever you visited our family home, you would find people seeking assistance, and by the grace of God, my father always had something to offer them," he said.
According to Dr. Adamu, the enduring impact of his father's humanitarian lifestyle motivated him to continue that legacy through the Al-Ihsan Charity and Orphan Foundation Kaduna, where he currently serves as Chairman.
He explained that the foundation has continued to implement programmes focused on community development, healthcare support, educational assistance, orphan care, and other humanitarian interventions, benefiting thousands of vulnerable individuals across Kaduna State and other parts of the country.
Dr. Adamu expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the opportunity to serve humanity and for the growing recognition of the foundation's humanitarian activities.
He also appreciated individuals, organisations, and philanthropists who have continued to support the foundation, praying that Almighty Allah rewards them abundantly for their generosity and commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.
The foundation's chairman called on wealthy individuals and well-meaning Nigerians to embrace the culture of giving, stressing that supporting those in need not only transforms lives but also attracts divine blessings and protection.
"We are proud of the legacy our father left behind. His life continues to inspire us, and we remain committed to sustaining the values of compassion and service that he instilled in us," he added.
He concluded by offering prayers for his late father, Alhaji Abdullahi, asking Almighty Allah to forgive him, grant him eternal mercy, and bless all departed Muslims.
At the end of the meeting, participants commended Dr. Adamu Abdullahi for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, particularly his efforts in supporting orphans, widows, and other vulnerable groups.
They described his contributions as impactful and encouraged him to sustain the foundation's programmes for the benefit of communities across Kaduna State and Nigeria.
