Sabon Gari Chairman Flags Off School Reconstruction Under ROOSC Project as Leaders Applaud Gov. Uba Sani

The Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government Area and Kaduna State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Sheikh Jamilu Abubakar Albani, has officially flagged off the reconstruction and rehabilitation of selected schools across various wards in the local government.

The projects are being executed under the Reaching Out-of-School Children (ROOSC) Project, an education intervention programme of the Kaduna State Government aimed at upgrading school infrastructure and improving access to quality education.

The schools approved for construction and renovation include the construction of a new Junior Secondary School building at Anguwan Fulani within the Army Children School premises in Jushi Ward and the construction of another Junior Secondary School in Gwanda.

Other projects include the renovation of LEA Nomadic School in Anguwan Makera, renovation of LEA Primary School in Anguwan Makeri in Basawa Ward, construction works at Tsangayar Malam Jibrin Musa in Kurmin Bomo, and renovation works at Sa’idu Model Primary School in Anguwan Liman, Samaru.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Albani expressed appreciation to the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his continued commitment to strengthening the education sector and tackling the challenge of out-of-school children across the state.
He noted that the reconstruction and renovation of the schools would significantly improve the learning environment for pupils and students while also encouraging increased school enrollment in the benefiting communities.

The chairman urged residents of the benefiting communities to cooperate with contractors handling the projects to ensure their timely and successful completion.

He emphasized that community support and ownership are essential to protecting the projects and ensuring they serve both present and future generations.

Meanwhile, speaking at LEA Sa’idu Model School in Samaru, the member representing Basawa Ward in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Sani Basawa , commended Governor Uba Sani for the developmental projects being implemented across the state.

In his remarks, the Sarkin Samaru, Malam Muhammad, thanked Almighty Allah and described the day as a moment of joy for the people of Samaru following the development brought to the community.

Also speaking, the Dan Madamin Samaru, Tahir Umar Hassan, said the school holds great historical significance as it has produced many prominent leaders in Nigeria and also serves as a polling center for elections in the area.

Similarly, Dr. Abdulhamid Dambo, appealed to the government to extend similar renovation works to Islamiyya schools across the local government area in order to strengthen the education sector.

In the same vein, the Yariman Bomo, Abubakar called on residents of Sabon Gari to continue supporting the government and to keep Governor Uba Sani in their prayers for the success of his administration.
The Chief Imam of Samaru, Imam Nasiru Ahmad, also offered special prayers for the governor, asking God to grant him the strength and wisdom to continue delivering development to the people.

Community leaders and education stakeholders at the event commended the Kaduna State Government for prioritizing education and investing in the future of young people in Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
