The Energy and Environmental Law Club, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has planted 500 trees under its EcoCare Campus Initiative 2026 — Greening Communities, Inspiring Action, Sustaining the Future.
Speaking during the planting at Kongo Campus and Gyellesu community, the Vice Chairman of Club Haruna Bashir said, the initiative is all about protecting the environment.
He said this year the Club has received seedlings of different types of trees which they all planted by the students of Ahmadu Bello University as part of its activities line up for 2026 activities.
Bashir called on environmental stakeholders to join them and support their initiatives with seedlings during their campaign.
Also, advised their fellow students to embrace tree planting and at least each student should plant one tree as his legacy even after their studies.
The Vice Chairman appreciates the students who participate actively during the planting exercise.
