The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), has continued to demonstrate his administration’s commitment to faith-based support, social harmony, and grassroots development through a series of impactful engagements across the local government area.
In a press release signed by the Press Secretary, Zaria Local Government Council, Galadima Ishaq, Engr. Jaga, on behalf of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON (Iyan Zazzau), presented a cheque of Twenty Million Naira (₦20,000,000) to the Danmagaji Jumu’at Masjid Committee.
The financial support is aimed at facilitating the comprehensive renovation of the mosque, in line with the Speaker’s sustained efforts toward strengthening religious institutions and promoting community development in Zaria and its environs.
The Chairman noted that places of worship play a vital role in promoting moral values, unity, and peaceful coexistence, adding that the intervention reflects a broader commitment to initiatives that positively impact the wellbeing of the people.
In furtherance of people-oriented leadership, Engr. Jaga also attended the wedding ceremony of Yahaya Abdullahi Babi and Zulaihat Muhammad, held at Gidan Mai Tantabara, Kusfa, Limancin Kona Ward.
His presence at the occasion underscored the administration’s tradition of identifying with the people and sharing in moments of joy and celebration at the grassroots.
Thereafter, the Chairman held a series of development-focused engagements with individuals and groups on issues bordering on community advancement, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
The interactions reaffirmed his openness to dialogue and his resolve to encourage grassroots-driven initiatives.
